Ohio Talks HIV

Ohio Talks HIV

Free Statewide Community Events and CEUs** for Nurses and Social Workers

AIDS Resource Center Ohio and the Ohio AIDS Coalition staff are teaming up with ODH and local stakeholders to bring you even more HIV education.  More than 18,000 Ohioans live with HIV or AIDS. How can you provide optimal care for your clients or patients and prevent the spread of HIV? Join us to learn how! Ohio Talks HIV will take place in ten cities across Ohio in May and June 2013 with the goal of providing educational resources to professionals working at community service organizations while fostering a local help network for those with HIV.

These events are free and designed for community service providers to learn about HIV, meet local HIV service providers, and learn how they can become HIV care messengers for their organization. We have a powerful array of speakers and panelists lined up in each city.

If you’re a community service provider, social worker or nurse, please come and learn about how you can help your clients get the HIV referrals they need. Click on your nearest city on the menu above to register for the Ohio Talks HIV event closest to you. LSWs, LISWs, LISW-Ss, SWAs and RNs are eligible to receive continuing education credit hours.
